WELCOME TO OLLI-MORG-CO AXOLOTLS 〰️
AXOLOTL OF THE WEEK
Meet Paul!! Paul is our most recent addition. She came to us to be a companion to Hootie after all her other “friends” ended up being boys. Paul came to us as a “probable” female, so we swiftly named her PAUL to add a little extra protection that she would indeed be a girlfriend for Hootie. She made the long trip overnight from Southeastern Axolotls in Georgia to our home in Irving, TX in December of 2025. She spent her first couple of months acclimating in our 20g long “isolation” tank. While shy for the first couple of weeks; she quickly got the hang of things and made fast friends with our latest rescue cat (BAC - you will get to see quite a bit, as he plays mother hen to all new kids in the house). Paul spends lots of time watching mom work; since the isolation tank sits on mom’s desk in perfect eye shot of her work webcam. Paul is quite a ham when there are lots of people on video calls and has made quite an impression with people all over the US. She has become the “virtual” pet axie for kiddos with parents working from home all over the US.
Paul recently moved in with her bestie Hootie in late February 2026. They hit it off almost instantly and spend most days/nights playing, watching mom work, or watching tv (fish on YouTube being their favorite). They share a 60g long planted tank with lots of fun hiding spots, slides, hammocks and shelves. Paul has always been a great eater and enjoys European Earth worms from Axolotl Planet or Red Wigglers from Walmart. As a special treat on occasion, she will get some nibbles of Raw Salmon and even black worms when her Pea Puffer cousins and new baby axies get fed.
